Hamptons raises £150,000 for mental health charity Mind

Hamptons has raised £150,000 for mental health charity Mind since launching its partnership with the organisation in May 2022.

The fundraising total has been built through a wide range of staff-led initiatives across the business, including endurance challenges, sporting events and community activities.
Over the course of the partnership, Hamptons employees have taken part in the Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon within 24 hours – alongside marathons, skydives, bake sales and local fundraising events.

More recently, the business has expanded its efforts with new initiatives, including the Hamptons Charity Golf Cup, which raised £10,000, and the Hamptons Walk and Talk.

THE MIND GAMES

The latter was led by the company’s men’s group, with participants completing 5,500 steps to reflect the number of people who lose their lives to suicide in the UK each year, raising more than £1,400 for Mind.

In July, Hamptons launched its largest fundraising campaign of the year, The Mind Games, a company-wide initiative encouraging each region to organise its own activities in support of the charity.

With more than 85 offices involved, fundraising ranged from pub quizzes and rugby sweepstakes to larger events, including participation in the Bournemouth Half Marathon by the Windsor branch and a “Cycle across the country” challenge organised by the Sloane Square team. The latter saw staff cycle the equivalent distance from Land’s End to John o’ Groats on exercise bikes, raising £3,700.
