Guild strikes rent guarantee deal as lettings rules tighten

The Guild of Property Professionals has signed a new partnership with HomeLet and Let Alliance as agents brace for tougher regulation under the Renters’ Rights Act.

The new Guild Lettings+ proposition is designed to help agents protect landlord income, meet rising compliance demands and generate additional revenue from lettings services as the private rented sector faces sweeping legislative change.
The move comes as landlords face longer possession timelines, stricter rules and increased financial risk, forcing agents to look for ways to offer stronger protection and more predictable income.

Guild Lettings+ allows members to combine enhanced tenant referencing with rent guarantee protection, while also using tenancy management technology to reduce admin and improve compliance processes.

COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITY

The Guild says the initiative is aimed at turning compliance from a cost burden into a commercial opportunity, allowing agents to increase income per tenancy while offering landlords greater security.

The proposition also includes access to the Vision+ tenancy management platform, designed to automate workflows, handle notifications and help agents stay compliant as regulation becomes more complex.

Operating within Barbon Insurance Group, HomeLet and Let Alliance provide referencing, rent protection and tenancy technology, with the Guild saying the partnership will help members run more resilient lettings businesses.

REGULATORY CHANGE

“Guild Lettings+ enables our Members to place landlord protection at the heart of their service, while also creating new revenue opportunities and operational efficiencies.

“In a market shaped by the Renters’ Rights Act, agents who can provide certainty, compliance and reassurance will be best positioned for long-term growth.”
