Fine & Country Norfolk and Suffolk celebrate £42,000 milestone donation to The Benjamin Foundation

Fine & Country Norfolk and Suffolk has now donated a total of £42,000 to The Benjamin Foundation, one of East Anglia’s leading charities dedicated to supporting vulnerable and homeless young people across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The ongoing partnership, which began in 2021, reflects Fine & Country Norfolk’s commitment to giving back to the community it serves.
A portion of every completed sale from the offices in Beccles, Norwich, Fakenham, Ipswich, Woodbridge  and Diss is donated directly to The Benjamin Foundation, and the charity has also been successful in securing funding through The Fine & Country Foundation’s Spring and Autumn grant schemes.

Founded as a small youth outreach initiative in North Norfolk, The Benjamin Foundation has grown into a regional cornerstone for support services – tackling youth homelessness, providing Early Years education, youth and family support, and promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health. The charity currently supports more than 3,000 young people and families annually.

HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE

Christopher Scott, Managing Director of Fine & Country South Norfolk and North Suffolk and proud member of Fine & Country’s National Advisory Council, says: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile charity helping young people with hope, opportunity, stability and independence to avoid homelessness.”

Fine & Country Norfolk and Suffolk’s commitment to community impact goes beyond financial support.

As Rebecca White, Director of Fine & Country Beccles, explains: “Partnering with a respected local charity like The Benjamin Foundation reinforces our commitment to the community we serve. It shows we’re invested in more than just property – we’re invested in people.”

Darren J Warren, Director of Fine & Country Norwich, adds: “As we give a percentage of each fee we earn to support The Benjamin Foundation, it has recently been discussed with Josh from the Foundation what else we could do to support the charity.

“It was suggested that we sign up to complete the Three Peaks Challenge next year, which myself and other members of the Norwich team have agreed to do, so watch this space!”

GENEROUS SUPPORT

Anne Johnsen, Manager of the Tenancy Transition Service at The Benjamin Foundation, says: “I’d like to thank Fine & Country for their generous support in helping vulnerable young people make that important first move into secure and independent housing.

“Through helping to fund the Rent Deposit Scheme, Fine & Country is making such a difference in enabling young people to access rented housing, as a sizeable deposit is almost always required and can be a real barrier to young people securing their first tenancy.”

FOUNDATION AMBASSADOR

Rebecca White’s commitment goes beyond her local area, as she was recently announced as one of eleven dedicated Fine & Country agents who have volunteered to become official Foundation Ambassadors.

This passionate team of volunteers will play a pivotal role in supporting The Foundation regionally, significantly boosting awareness of its commitment to aiding vulnerable individuals and communities affected by homelessness, both in the UK and internationally.

The Foundation commends the Norfolk and Suffolk offices for their unwavering dedication and looks forward to seeing the impact of future collaborations with The Benjamin Foundation.
