Fine & Country’s Welsh network is set to embark on a nationwide fundraising initiative this April as offices unite to support The Fine & Country Foundation with a relay-style challenge spanning the length of Wales.
Dubbed the “Dragon Relay”, the campaign will see a red dragon mascot transported from North Wales to South Wales, passing between offices in a coordinated journey designed to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
The relay will begin in Llandudno and travel through multiple locations before reaching its final destination in Tenby. Each participating office will host the dragon for two consecutive weekdays, taking responsibility for both receiving and delivering it to the next stop on the route.
A key element of the challenge is that teams must transport the dragon without the use of a car, encouraging creative and environmentally conscious solutions. Offices are already planning a range of approaches, including canoeing, hiking and other alternative methods to move the mascot across the country.
DRAGON RELAY
The initiative is structured across two stages at each stop. On the first day, the hosting office receives the dragon by 5pm and begins fundraising activity. On the second day, the same office must ensure the dragon is delivered to the next location by the same deadline, maintaining the momentum of the relay.
Each office will also operate its own fundraising page, with donations collected throughout the journey. The campaign aims to generate significant support for The Fine & Country Foundation, which works with charities tackling homelessness and poverty.

Tom Carter, Director of Fine & Country North Wales, says: “Wales is famous for its dragons, so we thought it was only fitting that ours should go on a journey across the country for a great cause.
“The relay is a brilliant way to bring our teams together, have some fun and raise as much money as possible for The Fine & Country Foundation.”
Abbie Young, Area Manager at Fine & Country, adds: “Each office is already competing to come up with the most creative way of getting the dragon to the next destination.
“It’s going to be a fantastic mix of teamwork, fundraising and a little bit of Welsh adventure.”
