Fine & Country expands into South Dorset with new office opening in Poundbury

Fine & Country is launching a new license in South Dorset, with a new office opening tomorrow (Saturday 5th July 2025) in Poundbury, Dorchester.

This strategic expansion strengthens the brand’s presence in the region with the brand being in the capable hands of an already well-established name in the Dorset property market.
With an existing presence in Portland and Swanage, the new Dorchester office will further strengthen Fine & Country South Dorset’s presence in the region, allowing the team to expand their offering to more clients.

Shay McNulty (main picture, left), Head of Sales for Fine & Country South Dorset, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming launch date.

LOCAL EXPERIENCE, INTERNATIONAL BRANDING

He says: “We feel that the Fine & Country brand complements our core business perfectly. By combining our local experience with the international branding and marketing power of Fine & Country, we’re confident in filling a gap in the upper quartile of the market here in South Dorset.”

The property market in South Dorset is thriving, with a 4.3% increase in average sales prices over the past year, bringing the average property price to £340,000.

This rise reflects strong demand in an area renowned for its natural beauty, lifestyle appeal, and diverse property landscape.

“The region offers a broad demographic and property range,” adds McNulty. “From characterful seaside terraces to large, detached manor-style homes, country estates, and elegant townhouses, there’s truly something for everyone.”

Fine & Country South Dorset’s territory spans from Swanage to Bridport, down to Portland, and up towards Sherborne and Sturminster Newton, covering an estimated 50,000 properties and serving a population of approximately 200,000 people.

The new team will be comprised of eight experienced sales staff across the three offices, led by McNulty.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

McNulty says: “Joining an international brand gives us enormous scope for growth personally, professionally, and for the business.

“We’re excited to bring our modern marketing approach, strong communication, and traditional service ethos to a wider, more premium audience.”
