The Fine & Country Foundation has raised more than £15,400 for homelessness charities across Cambridgeshire at its annual Carols by Candlelight Concert, held on 7 December at King’s College Chapel, Cambridge.
Returning to one of the world’s most celebrated gothic chapels, the event drew local residents, Fine & Country colleagues and supporters from across the region for an evening of community, music and festive goodwill.
Funds will be distributed to Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy’s Cambridge, Wintercomfort and Cambridge Cyrenians, supporting frontline services, shelter and long-term assistance for people experiencing homelessness.
The contribution comes at a critical time, helping these organisations deliver essential support over winter and into 2026.
KING’S VOICES
Guests were treated to performances from King’s Voices, whose candlelit renditions of classic carols set the tone for a warm and atmospheric celebration, followed by a VIP reception with mulled wine and mince pies.
Emilie Despois (main picture, inset), Trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation, says: “The Carols by Candlelight concert has become an incredibly special tradition, not only for its festive atmosphere but for the real and lasting impact it has on people’s lives.
“Raising over £15,400 is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the compassion and community spirit of everyone who attended and supported the event.”
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Since its launch, the Carols by Candlelight concert has played a central role in The Foundation’s mission to combat homelessness, adding significantly to the funds raised annually for charities throughout the UK and overseas.
Fine & Country extended its thanks to all who attended, donated, volunteered and supported this year’s event, adding that their generosity continues to make a tangible difference to vulnerable people across the local community.
