eXp UK signs three new businesses to brokerage model

eXp UK has announced the three latest estate agency businesses to join the firm under its brokerage model as the platform continues to go from strength to strength as Britain’s leading self-employed estate agency platform.

The firm not only surpassed the 600 member agent threshold but also launched its luxury offering, as well as its brokerage model – an industry first that has already seen the firm sign a number of high street names as a result.
eXp UK’s ‘brokerage’ model is for traditional high street estate agencies with an employed workforce to become an eXp UK partner business and to transform their valuers and listers into self-employed agents in association with the eXp brand, whilst also keeping their existing brand.

The offering has quickly gained traction, with 10 existing and established estate agency businesses making the switch in 2024.

LATEST SIGNINGS

Today, eXp UK can reveal the three latest high street agency businesses to join the model.

Desmond & Co powered by eXp: Led by Darren Desmond, based in Plymouth and Cornwall; Signature Homes powered by eXp: Led by Harry Singh, based in the Midlands and Miller Town & Country powered by eXp: Led by John Simmons, covering Okehampton, Tavistock, and the surrounding villages.

Adam Day (main picture) Head of eXp UK, says: “2024 proved to be an incredibly successful year for the eXp UK brand and one that saw us surpass a number of milestones as a business.

“Not only have we cemented our position as Britain’s leading platform for self-employed agents, but we’ve also seen great success with our brokerage model.

“This traction has continued to build in 2025 and we’re looking forward to another year shaking up the industry norm and offering agents the freedom and flexibility to carve their own path within the property sector.”

Darren Desmond of Desmond and Co, adds: “Joining the eXp family allows our business to seamlessly evolve with the changing face of the estate agency sector, providing a greater degree of autonomy and flexibility to our agents in the process.

“However, the real strength of eXp’s offering is the support provided by its global community, support which is invaluable when it comes to succeeding within the self-employed space.”

Harry Singh of Signature Homes, says: “It’s clear that the UK estate agency sector is changing and eXp is leading the charge in this respect, so who better to help support our switch to the self-employed space than the world’s leading self-employed platform.

The support and guidance provided has been key and we’re looking forward to pushing our business to new heights with the resources available to us, whilst also streamlining our operational costs in the process.”

LEADING EDGE

And John and Clare Simmons of Miller Town & Country, say: “We could see that the estate agency model in the UK was evolving and wanted to be at the leading edge of this.

“Our move to the Teams brokerage model has allowed us to offer the best of both worlds – a modern self-employed structure attractive to the industry’s top talent, along with the association with a strong brand in a supportive team environment.  We’re incredibly excited to see what the next chapter holds!”
