eXp UK becomes largest estate agency brand in the UK

eXp UK has officially become the largest estate agency brand in the country, according to independent market data from TwentyEA.

The self-employed agent platform topped the national rankings in April for both new property listings and homes sold subject to contract, securing market shares of 1.31% and 1.42% respectively.
The milestone was announced by Adam Day (main picture), Head of eXp UK and Europe, during the opening keynote of the company’s annual UK conference in Birmingham – the largest gathering of self-employed agents in the country.

Founded in November 2019, eXp UK set out to challenge traditional agency models by enabling agents to build their own businesses under a global brand.

SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENT

Reaching number one in the national rankings within five years marks a significant achievement for the fast-growing platform.

Day says: “Five years ago, we set out to establish the self-employed model in the UK. Our ambition was to become the biggest estate agency brand – and today we’ve made that a reality.

“This is a testament to our brilliant network of agents who consistently operate at the top of their local markets.”

The conference also hosted senior leadership from eXp’s global operations, including Glenn Sanford, CEO of eXp World Holdings, and Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty.

Sanford says: “The UK has become our largest market outside North America.

“To see eXp UK reach the number one position is humbling, and it speaks volumes about the power of our model and the calibre of agents we attract.”

The announcement sets the tone for what Day described as “an exciting few days in Birmingham”, with new support, tools and training initiatives set to be unveiled for the company’s growing network of agents.
