New geo-location property app backed by industry big hitters launches

A new property search platform backed by former Housing Minister Brandon Lewis, Guild of Property Professionals boss Iain McKenzie and former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney launches across the UK today and promises to transform the way buyers discover homes while helping estate agents cut costs by an average of £18,000 a year compared with traditional portals.

The Property DriveBuy app replaces the rigid, criteria-based search model used by platforms such as Rightmove and Zoopla with a fully geo-located, real-time property discovery tool.
The app enables buyers to see available homes as they physically pass them, alerting them instantly with photos, floor plans, and video tours on their device.

Rather than requiring buyers to manually enter location and price filters, which can limit results, Property DriveBuy automatically surfaces relevant properties they might never have considered.

With Rightmove subscription fees continuing to rise, the platform offers a free-to-list alternative that integrates with existing CRM software, including Reapit, Loop, Street and Alto.

This enables agents to upload inventory and reach buyers without additional overheads, potentially saving £18,000 per year on listing costs.

The company’s board includes high-profile names such as a former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, former Conservative Party Chairman and Housing Minister Brandon Lewis and property industry veteran Ian McKenzie from The Guild of Property Professionals.

An international rollout is already planned following the UK launch.

Steve Foreman, Founder and CEO of The Property DriveBuy, says: “The property search process hasn’t meaningfully changed in two decades, and yet both buyers and agents are paying the price in missed opportunities and excessive fees.

“The Property DriveBuy puts discovery back into the hands of the buyer, while giving agents a cost-free way to get their listings in front of more people.”

Foreman, who also founded London-based Advertising firm, Advertising Excellence back in 1998, adds: “Our vision is simple – to make property search proactive, not passive, and to deliver better results for everyone involved.”

The launch comes as the UK property market adapts to evolving buyer behaviour and the rising costs of digital marketing, providing an alternative route for agents to engage with prospective purchasers while controlling overheads.

The Property DriveBuy is available for estate agents to list properties free of charge during its initial launch period.
