Eco Approach, one of the UK’s leading energy performance and domestic retrofit providers, has acquired AI proptech start-up Propflo in a move designed to accelerate scalable energy efficiency solutions across the UK property sector.
The deal brings together Eco Approach’s nationwide in-home retrofit expertise and compliance infrastructure with Propflo’s award-winning AI platform for portfolio analytics and digital customer engagement.
The acquisition signals a growing convergence between data-driven proptech and boots-on-the-ground retrofit delivery, as investors, lenders and policymakers search for ways to tackle the UK’s ageing and inefficient housing stock.
With net zero targets looming and millions of homes requiring upgrades, the combined entity is positioning itself as a trusted partner for estate agents, housing associations, mortgage providers and public sector bodies seeking to meet climate targets while supporting customers through the retrofit transition.
END-TO-END SERVICE
The companies will now offer a comprehensive end-to-end service – from property data insights and funding access to certified installation delivery – at a time when energy efficiency is rising rapidly up the agenda for landlords, lenders and policymakers.
The acquisition comes against the backdrop of persistently high energy prices – still 51% above 2021 levels – and impending government legislation that will require landlords in both private and social sectors to meet stricter minimum energy standards in the years ahead.
£250 BILLION RETROFIT CHALLENGE

Tom Harrington, Chief Executive of Eco Approach, says that the acquisition will position the combined business at the forefront of the UK’s £250 billion retrofit challenge.
He adds: “We’ve admired what Luke, Daniel and the Propflo team have achieved for some time. Their platform is smart, intuitive and built with the end user in mind.
“With tightening regulations and rising demand from businesses and homeowners, we see this as a critical step toward scaling high-quality, tech-enabled retrofit services.”

Luke Loveridge, Chief Executive and Founder of Propflo, says the acquisition will expand the reach and impact of both companies.
He adds: “Eco Approach has been our go-to partner for certification and installations, and this deal enables us to unify our services into a single, market-leading proposition.
“Together, we’re offering something no one else currently can: a seamless journey from data and engagement to retrofit delivery – all under one roof.”
GOLD AWARD
Eco Approach currently carries out more than 10,000 home visits per month and counts several of the UK’s leading energy suppliers among its clients.
It was recently awarded a Constructionline Gold Award for quality, ranked first for quality and second overall in the latest Procurement for Housing (PfH) framework, and has direct access to Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) funding.
