Dexters posts £247m revenue as sales surge

London estate agency giant Dexters has reported an 11% rise in revenue to £247m for 2025, with operating profit up 10% to £52m as strong sales growth and continued lettings demand drove performance across the capital.

The group said 9% of its revenue growth was organic, with the remaining uplift coming from acquisitions, including Keatons in east London. Profit margins held steady at 21%.
Lettings remained the backbone of the business, rising 9% to £161m and accounting for 65% of total income.

However, residential sales delivered standout growth, jumping 17% to a record £80m. Other income remained flat at £6m.

STAFF INVESTMENT

Dexters attributed its performance to sustained investment in staff and new office openings. During the year, headcount increased to 2,414 full-time colleagues, up from 2,189, with more than 400 holding Propertymark certifications and 115 members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

The firm, which operates 176 offices across London, opened new branches in Canada Water, Greenwich, Kennington, Queens Park and Surbiton.

ORGANIC GROWTH

Chief executive Ash Kashyap (main picture, inset) says: “In the face of a challenging macro environment, Dexters has once again continued to perform and thrive due to our investing in London’s local high streets, expansion of our unrivalled office network and commitment to career development with a focus on customer service.

“This has resulted in continued success and provided colleagues with unrivalled opportunities for promotion and career development.”

He adds: “Our organic growth in prime central London sales and lettings for the 2024-25 financial year was 11%. We have maintained our strong market presence in north and west London with significant opportunities for further expansion within the M25.

“Whilst Dexters is predominantly focused on local markets, we are becoming a globally recognised brand with significant enquiries coming to our corporate and international relocation specialist team.”

CONFIDENCE BOOST

Kashyap also struck a confident tone on the capital’s outlook.

He says: “Dexters continues to be committed to and confident in the long-term future of the UK capital. London remains a highly desirable place to live, study and work, attracting both domestic and international buyers as well as tenants who choose to make the city their home.”

The group arranged up to 60,000 viewings per month and completed more than 30,000 sales and lettings over the year. More than 70% of new business came via word-of-mouth, supported by over 95,000 Google reviews with an average 4.9-star rating.

Founded in 1993, Dexters now plans to double revenue within five years, with six new offices already in the pipeline and 200 new recruits set to join its in-house training academy in 2026.
