Dexters has appointed Ash Kashyap as Chief Executive, succeeding Andy Shepherd who retires in March 2026.
Kashyap joined Dexters as Chief Financial Officer in June 2014. He has over 20 years’ experience in estate agency and working closely in partnership with Shepherd has propelled the business forwards to record turnover and consistent profits.
In 2023 Kashyap led the largest acquisition in the firm’s history, acquiring Marsh & Parsons, followed by acquisition of LiFE Residential. Kashyap was appointed Deputy CEO in January 2024.
Founded in 1993 the Dexters group operates some of the most well-known and estate agency brands in London including Dexters, Marsh & Parsons, Wetherell and Jackson-Stops (London and Surrey) with over 180 offices across the capital and a team of over 2,300 people.
YEAR-ON-YEAR GROWTH
With its own Dexters Academy for training, mentoring and setting quality standards, Dexters has a long history of year-on-year growth.
Property Soup revealed yesterday how the business recorded a 23% rise in revenue to £222 million with underlying operating profit up 17% to almost £50 million (£47.2 million).
CLEAR VISION

Justin King CBE, Chairman of Dexters, says: “I am delighted to confirm Ash Kashyap’s appointment as the new CEO of Dexters.
“He has the perfect combination of strategic and financial acumen, a clear vision for the future opportunities for estate agency, supported by the strength and depth of his highly experienced leadership team.
“Initially guided by Dexters founder Jeff Doble, and benefitting from over a decade of working side-by-side with Andy Shepherd, this carefully planned and executed change means Ash will hit his stride fast and the firm’s ambitious plans will accelerate.”
And he adds: “I would also like to thank Andy Shepherd for his incredible leadership. For over 30 years his passion, vision, energy and unwavering belief in Dexters has been exceptional.
“He passes the baton to Ash at an exciting time for the company.”
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
Kashyap (main picture) says: “It has been a great pleasure to work with Andy Shepherd over the years and I am excited to succeed him as Chief Executive Officer. I am proud to take on the responsibility and I am ambitious about the future.
“Our company has a strong and well-established senior management team and amazing colleagues across the business. Everyone at Dexters has a deeply embedded growth gene, a set of values focused on customer service, quality standards and delivery that guide our actions, but most of all we have a desire to always be even better.
“I look forward to tapping into that desire and building on the strong foundation as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey.”
NEW HEIGHTS

Shepherd adds: “Ash Kashyap is an exceptional leader and I am absolutely delighted that he will be taking the role of CEO, driving the business to new heights and continuing the incredible journey that Dexters started on over 30 years ago.
“Back in 1993 we set out to be different and provide an exceptional level of service to our clients where nothing is too much trouble, and the strength and depth of our management team coupled with this culture is what continues to set us apart.”
Dexters sell and let more property in the capital than anyone else and the business has maintained consistent growth, increasing revenue at circa 15% per year over the last 10 years. It also has a consistent track-record of providing first-class service with its over 80,000 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.
