Deloitte has bolstered its real estate and infrastructure offering with the appointment of Zoe Watters as partner in its North West practice.
Watters (main picture, inset) joins from PwC, where she was a partner in the infrastructure team, bringing extensive experience across major public sector projects and public-private partnerships.
Her appointment comes as infrastructure investment and regional development continue to climb the agenda, particularly in city regions with devolved powers and expanding project pipelines.
Based in Deloitte’s Manchester office, Watters will support the firm’s growing presence in the North West, where demand for advisory services around large-scale development, transport and social infrastructure remains strong.
INFRASTRUCTURE-LED GROWTH
Her experience spans advising on major UK projects, including hospital developments, as well as working with devolved governments and mayoral authorities on infrastructure delivery models.
The move reflects a wider push by professional services firms to strengthen regional capabilities, as infrastructure-led growth and regeneration schemes drive demand for specialist expertise beyond London.
CRUCIAL TIME
Watters says: “With a renewed focus on large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK, coupled with more powers being devolved to mayoral authorities beyond housing and development, I’m joining Deloitte at a crucial time for the sector.
“As ever, it’s so important that the public sector has the right advice and support to deliver projects, uplift communities and contribute to regional economies.”
Jo Ahmed MBE, practice senior partner for Deloitte in the North West, adds: “Zoe’s experience and track record will strengthen our regional and national infrastructure offering.
“Manchester’s development pipeline remains robust, and Zoe is well placed to advise on major projects that will help shape and deliver future infrastructure developments in the city region.”
