Chestertons secures CPD accreditation ahead of RRA

Chestertons has secured official CPD accreditation for a specialist training programme focused on the forthcoming Renters’ Rights Act (RRA) in what is believed to be a first for a UK estate agency.

The London-based firm, part of Campions Group, confirmed that its “Changing Rental Landscape” course has been formally accredited by the Continuing Professional Development Certification Services.
The accreditation recognises the programme’s structure, content relevance and delivery standards and is designed to ensure lettings teams are equipped with up-to-date knowledge as the private rented sector prepares for significant regulatory reform.

Chestertons says the move underlines its commitment to supporting landlords through what is expected to be one of the most substantial legislative shifts in the rental market in recent years.

DEDICATED TRAINING

The agency has already delivered 46 dedicated training sessions on the Renters’ Reform Bill during 2025, as part of a wider investment in professional development across its lettings network.

Richard Davies (main picture, inset), Managing Director of Chestertons, says: “The rental sector is entering a period of major change, and it is essential that landlords can rely on informed, professional guidance.

“Achieving internal CPD accreditation demonstrates our commitment to equipping our teams with the highest level of training so they can support landlords with clarity, confidence and compliance.”

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

He adds: “This achievement builds on the continued investment in the growth of our people with the support of a dedicated Learning and Development team to focusing on career and professional development across its business.”

The development comes as landlords and agents alike brace for the impact of the Renters’ Rights Act, with compliance, tenant protections and operational processes all expected to come under increased scrutiny once the legislation is implemented.
