Martin & Co has expanded its presence in Surrey with the launch of a new office in Egham, led by acclaimed TPFG franchisee Erica Townend.
The move builds on the continued success of Townend’s award-winning Martin & Co Wokingham branch and marks a return to her personal and professional roots.
Townend, who has operated the Wokingham office since 2015, brings a track record of consistent growth and customer service excellence.
Under her leadership, the branch has won annual awards in both sales and lettings, supported by a fully qualified ARLA and NAEA-accredited team.
NATURAL EVOLUTION
The acquisition of the Staines/Egham portfolio represents a natural evolution for Townend (main picture).
She says: “When the opportunity came up, I jumped at it. I spent a large part of my upbringing in Egham. My father owned an estate agency here in the 1970s and was affectionately known as ‘Mr Egham’. I’ve personally developed 49 residential and commercial units in the town. This is very much a homecoming.”
Located in a prominent, newly refurbished High Street unit, the Egham office will offer a full suite of sales, lettings, and property management services.
Townend plans to embed the branch in the local community with initiatives including landlord forums, property advice drop-ins and educational events for first-time buyers and investors.
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
With a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from the College of Estate Management and decades of hands-on experience in property development, Townend brings deep technical knowledge to the client experience.
She adds: “Sometimes sales and lettings can involve complex issues – I either know the answer, or I know exactly where to look.”
Her focus remains firmly on service. “We built the Wokingham office around the client. Word-of-mouth referrals have powered our growth because we do what we say. I want Egham and Staines to benefit from that same approach.”
