Auction sales rose 10% year on year in 2025 as estate agents turned to faster, more secure routes to sale in a volatile market, according to new data from iamproperty.
The firm reported a 5% rise in viewings, an 8% increase in capital value and a 39% jump in highest sale price achieved. Unique bidders were up 8%, while fees paid to partner agents climbed 10%.
The growth came against a backdrop of fluctuating interest rates, stretched transaction times and price-sensitive buyers. With average private treaty sales taking more than 200 days, iamproperty says its auction model offers completion in 56 days with a 95% success rate.
The company also expanded its footprint, securing a partnership with Yopa as its preferred auction provider and integrating with Reapit’s CRM platform. New agent signings, including Dacre Son & Hartley, Walker & Lewis and KFH, have taken its partner network to more than 7,000 branches.
