The Association for Rental Living (ARL) has announced new leadership for its North West Steering Group following a successful two-year period of activity for the regional Hub.
Chloe Sachikonye (main picture, left), senior account executive at Yardi, has been appointed Chair, with Bex Hetherington (main picture, right), head of operations at Native Communities, taking on the role of Vice Chair.
The appointments follow the completion of the Hub’s latest term under chair Dougie Orton-Wade and vice chair Peter Grimshaw.
The North West Hub was one of ARL’s first regional steering groups and has played a key role in raising the profile of the rental living sector across the region.
SPECIALIST BACKGROUNDS
Sachikonye brings more than a decade of industry experience spanning residential operations, account and project management, systems and data analysis, and strategic client relationships, with a strong focus on the North West.
A long-standing supporter of ARL and the North West Hub, she has worked across Build to Rent, single family housing, co-living and student accommodation.
Hetherington, who is passionate about improving standards across the sector, will support the Hub’s work as Vice Chair, collaborating with industry peers to promote best practice in residential management and operations.
Outgoing chair Dougie Orton-Wade (Moda) and vice chair Peter Grimshaw will remain involved with the Hub to continue supporting its work.
COLLABORATION AND OPPORTUNITIES
Brendan Geraghty, chief executive of the Association for Rental Living, says: “The Hub was created as part of the Association’s regionally responsive growth, with its work delivering an important voice for the rental living sector in the North West.
“As the Hub enters its next chapter, we are delighted to welcome Chloe and Bex to lead its ongoing work, promoting collaboration and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing the sector in the region.”
Sachikonye adds: “The North West is one of the most dynamic regions in the living sector, and I’m delighted to take on the role of Chair, working alongside our committee and wider community to encourage collaboration, share knowledge and drive meaningful conversations across rental living.”
