Alto Software Group (ASG) has unveiled a new leadership team ready to offer estate agents smarter tools, bigger sales and an easier life.
Leading the new chapter is Riccardo Iannucci-Dawson (main picture) who steps in as Chief Executive, shaping ASG’s vision and product strategy.
Derek O’Carroll joins as Executive Chair, bringing extensive experience in operational excellence and business scaling. Nick Shaw takes on the role of Chief Revenue Officer, spearheading revenue growth, operational strategy and customer success.
Their appointment marks a significant milestone for ASG and Alto with ASG also expanding its partner ecosystem, ensuring seamless integrations with the tools agents already rely on, while exploring new embedded solutions to enhance their CRM capabilities.
SHARPER FOCUS
ASG is now operating as an independent division within Houseful with the move allowing for sharper customer focus, improved speed of innovation and specialised leadership within each division.
For ASG, this means ramping up product development for its hero product Alto, and ensuring estate agents benefit from smarter integrations, AI-powered functionality, and top-tier customer support.
New CEO Riccardo Iannucci-Dawson is a proven innovator with deep industry expertise, and multiple awards for technology, digital transformation and entrepreneurship.
He started his career design firm Gensler before transitioning to prop tech and founding Yourkeys, a digital sales progression platform that transformed the way homes are bought and sold.
Under his leadership, the company was acquired by Zoopla in 2021, cementing his reputation for delivering smarter solutions for the industry.
TECHNOLOGY INVESTOR

O’Carroll is a seasoned SaaS leader and technology investor who most recently scaled retail-tech platform Brightpearl into a global success, leading to its $360 million acquisition by Sage in 2021.
His expertise in driving high-growth tech businesses will support ASG’s next phase of expansion and customer-focused transformation.

Meanwhile Nick Shaw, newly appointed Chief Revenue Officer, brings over 20 years of SaaS expertise, including leadership roles at Norton, Symantec and Brightpearl.
He will lead revenue growth, operational strategy and customer success, ensuring estate agents get the tools, support and innovation they need to thrive.
UNDER PRESSURE
Iannucci-Dawson says: “Estate agents are under more pressure than ever. They don’t need gimmicks – they need software that actually improves their daily operations and helps them sell faster. That’s exactly what we’re delivering.
“Expect a more dynamic, customer-focused Alto. With Derek and Nick on board, we have the leadership in place to sharpen our focus on the fundamentals – saving agents time, making their day-to-day easier and ensuring Alto is the most valuable tool in their business.
SIGNIFICANT GROWTH
The leadership shake-up follows a year of significant growth for Alto, with over 100 product updates introduced in 2024, including AI-powered property valuation reports, enhanced mobile functionality, expanded API capabilities, automatic void management, a new referrals platform and upgraded sales progression tools.
O’Carroll adds: “Alto is already the best CRM for estate agents on the market. Now, we’ll be doing a better job of showcasing that – with clearer communication, stronger integrations, and a renewed focus on delivering real value.”
MAKING LIVES EASIER
He also highlighted ASG’s role in advocating for estate agents at an industry level and says: “Estate agents deserve a clear, strong voice in this industry. With 7,000 agents using Alto, we’re in a unique position to drive meaningful discussions on the issues that affect agents every day – and that’s what we plan to do.”
Shaw adds: “We’re fully focused on making estate agents’ lives easier. Our team is committed to delivering the tools, integrations, and innovations they need to succeed – now and in the future. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”
