AIIC tightens grip on SlothMove with 92% stake

AIIC Group has increased its shareholding in home-moving tech platform SlothMove from 50% to 92% signalling a major push to integrate technology deeper into the home-moving journey.

AIIC, the legal group behind Taylor Rose, FDR Law and Kingsley Wood, said the move will unlock stronger commercial synergies and accelerate SlothMove’s next phase of growth.
Founded in 2019, SlothMove enables home movers to update their address and set up essential services through a single online form, covering organisations including DVLA, HMRC, council tax, utilities and healthcare providers.

The platform has supported more than 75,000 customers, claiming to save the average mover 15 hours of admin for £30 while reducing risks around missed correspondence and fraud.

CLOSER INTEGRATION

The enlarged stake will allow closer integration between SlothMove and AIIC’s conveyancing operations, giving the group direct access to hundreds of thousands of home movers each year.

Plans include expanding B2B partnerships with estate agents, conveyancers and mortgage brokers alongside investment in technology, marketing and customer support.

Liam Horner has been promoted to CEO to lead the next stage of expansion.

ENORMOUS POTENTIAL

Adrian Jaggard (main picture), CEO of AIIC Group, says: “Our increased investment in SlothMove reflects our belief in the company’s mission and the clear synergy between SlothMove and AIIC Group’s home-moving businesses.

“We see enormous potential to make the moving journey easier, more secure and more modern for customers. With stronger integration across the Group, SlothMove is well placed to accelerate its technology development and expand its growing network of B2B partners.”
