Integra Property Services boss Michael Day says agents are waking up to the need to be the ‘best of the best’ as 2024 draws to a close and they plan ahead for the new year.
Writing in his latest Integra newsletter, Day highlights how agents on top of their game have already mapped out plans for 2025.
And he outlines how the need for a clear plan is ‘vital for success’.
VOLUME UPTURN

He says: “We are all digesting the changes from Rachel Reeve’s first budget – a budget that aims to raise an additional £40 billion plus from increased taxation plus even more tens of billions from having moved the goalposts in regards fiscal rules to facilitate more borrowing.
“Recent weeks have seen an upturn in the volume of training courses I have been delivering both virtually and face-to-face – this is a positive sign of businesses recognising the need to be the best they can be.”
“2025 has already started for most businesses – the need for a clear plan is vital for success, particularly with significant changes in legislation such as the Renters’ Rights and Employment Rights Acts due to be introduced.”
PRODUCTIVE
Day reckons one of the most productive ways of building a successful lettings business and managed portfolio is to hold regular events aimed at landlords.
He adds: “Well delivered landlord events help agents build positive relationships and therefore win more business and sell additional services.
“The value-add to landlords that they provide, also helps increase fees and improve profitability.
“Our research shows that a perceived lack of time coupled with not having a plan and concerns over creating relevant content often holds an agent back from holding an event.”
